We had a nice turn-out to use up the food overage from “Wingz-n-Dawgz”. In addition to eating some great hamburgers and dogs, there was some fine flying that took place under ideal weather conditions. Thanks to Bob McFadden for not only engineering the whole thing, but serving as the chief cook and bottle washer.
The “Spit” is Mike Light’s Phoenix Models version—most impressive in flight and on the ground. The electric is Gene Wallock’s, “Amptique” built from an old Bob Boucher kit. Paul Phillips got it hooked into a thermal to everyone’s delight.
