Here’s the work on the runway at the end of 3 Feb 2017. More than a dozen members were there all day braving the cold wind. It’s looking good.

At 1100 on 5 February 2017, intrepid aviator, Bob McFadden officially christened the new runway with a first flight. Braving the fog and low visibility, he launched his Ugly Stick into the mist. This was witnessed and photo documented by Larry Kruse and Clem Wehner.

Congratulations to all who helped make this day possible and to Bob McFadden for the first flight which begins a new era in LAFFS aviation history.
